I love this particular bonsai tree. It has a very even 3 dimensional design with even branch placement and good trunk tapering. The curves of the trunk are strong and bold and support pretty branches of naturally miniature leaves. 26 years in age and 52 cm in overall height this beautiful bonsai would make an artistic feature or focal point to a beautiful room. I think the neutral glaze of the pot gives this bonsai a very natural flare with muted earthy tones and tasteful appearance.

This bonsai is very easy to care for, making it perfect for those new to bonsai or those looking for a low-maintenance tree. It comes with a detailed care instruction guide to help you keep it healthy and thriving. The main care points are as follows:

Position somewhere with some good daylight, but out of direct sunshine in the middle of summer.
Allow the new lime green shoots to grow to about two pairs of new leaves. Then prune back to one pair of new leaves. This way the bonsai trees is growing, but slowly and you are able to maintain its highly refined shape. If you want it to get bigger then allow the new shoots to grow longer than 2 pairs.
We recommend that you feed the bonsai weekly throughout the year with our bonsai fertiliser. This will keep the bonsai strong and healthy and provide the nutrients the bonsai requires. We have a short video on feeding your bonsai tree if you are interested.
This species of bonsai tree is an easy care species which is not fussy about location. It is a relatively hardy species so can live outside for most of the year if this suits you better. Please protect from severe frost as it has been grown as an indoor bonsai.
As always the watering is the most important aspect of caring for your bonsai tree. Please keep the soil damp to the touch and water when the top layer of soil is a lighter brown. It does not like to be saturated all the time. When you do water please use a watering can and cover the soil surface evenly so the whole root ball is damp to the touch.
